IP Rating Chart
IP (Ingress Protection) ratings classify and define the degree of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects like dust and water in electrical enclosures or mechanical casings. The rating consists of two digits; the first indicates protection against solid objects like dust, while the second indicates protection against liquids.
Understanding IP ratings ensures that equipment is appropriately selected for its intended environment.
Extreme Weather Turnstiles and Readers
Different models of turnstiles are designed to be installed outdoors uncovered, outdoors with shelter, or for indoor use only. When selecting a turnstile, check this spec and consider the optimal finish and surroundings.
For installations in corrosive environments exposed to snow, wind, rain, and salt, choosing a full-height steel model crafted from stainless steel and coated with marine-grade powder provides superior protection.

Waterproof Insulated Turnstile Covers
Insulated covers are designed to keep your turnstile equipment safe from the elements (rain, snow, wind, cold, heat, and dust). Their greatest strength is the improved thermal insulation. Our turnstile covers, for waist-high or full-height, help provide standard and consistent temperature in both cold and hot environments.
They are made to order based on dimensional information of your equipment. The insulated covers also feature heavy-duty vinyl skins which are designed to stay clean due to their slick surface. Available for any of our turnstiles and gates.
