- The Dwight Yorke Stadium is only minutes from the capital of Tobago, Scarborough, and 25 minutes from Tobago’s airport.
- It was constructed for the 2001 FIFA Under 17 World Championships, which was hosted that year by Trinidad and Tobago. It has been utilized for many large sporting events since.
