Description
The WSOI-100 Wiegand Signal Optical Isolator and Splitter lets you connect 2 readers using the same Wiegand port, or connect 1 reader to 2 panels. The unit also allows you to connect 2 Wiegand devices with different data voltages or ground potential issues, as it optically isolates data signals between the devices. It is powered with 5 or 12 Vdc, so you can use the reader’s power — no separate power supply is required.

- Wiegand input data lines are floating and accept data voltage of 5-24 Vdc
- Wiegand output data lines are floating; the unit’s 5 Vdc pull-up resistors can be jumpered to Wiegand output data lines as needed
APPLICATIONS
- Perfect application for turnstiles and doors
- Connecting 2 Wiegand readers to 1 Wiegand port, such as at a vehicle gate with high and low readers
- Connecting 1 Wiegand reader to 2 Wiegand panels (same data to both panels), such as when 2 tenants share an entry door
- Optically isolating a Wiegand reader from a Wiegand panel to address incompatible data voltage levels or ground potential issues
